Jon Yu

Jonathan (Jon) Yu is a documentary photographer based in New York City. Jon is passionate about portraying local perspectives on national political and social issues. His work has been featured by The New York Times, CBS News, Al Jazeera America, Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.

When he isn’t photographing people, Jon loves to capture the day-to-day activities of his dog godchildren Piper, Coco and Kimchee. He is also passionate about using his camera to shine the spotlight on street musicians. His project “Buskers of Philly” was featured on the PBS show, Articulate, in 2015.

Jon received a B.S. in Biology from Haverford College in 2012.
